Mbeya Region
Gold production in Tanzania's Lupa Gold Field.
At Msesule, Huudi Mining mines and processes gold and sells its doré through Tanzania's official channels, including the Bank of Tanzania's gold purchase programme.
Producing asset
Msesule Gold, an open-pit operation. We have processed ore on site since September 2026.
Sales under way
We have sold doré through official channels since our first batch, in September 2026.
Local employment
30 employees, recruited mainly in the region.
Licensed pipeline
Licences for manganese, at development stage, and for copper–cobalt and nickel, at exploration stage.
Flagship operation
Msesule Gold
Msesule lies in the Lupa Gold Field, where the discovery of gold in 1922 set off Tanganyika's first gold rush. Informal mining continues in the area today.
Since 2025 we have mechanised the operation step by step. We follow a gold-bearing vein in an open trench, sort the ore and process it on site: crushing, milling, gravity separation, then cyanide leaching in vats. The circuit came into service in September 2026, and production is ramping up.
Production figures are operator estimates. Mineral resource estimates are not compliant with JORC or NI 43-101 standards.
Operations & pipeline
Msesule is our only producing asset. Our manganese, copper–cobalt and nickel licences are at earlier stages.

Manganese project
Licensed project in Tanzania. Trial mining has been completed.
Copper–cobalt licences
Licensed ground in Tanzania, at exploration stage.
Nickel licences
Licensed ground in Tanzania, at exploration stage.
We publish detailed asset pages as projects mature.
Responsible operations
We publish only what we can verify.
Chemicals
No mercury at Msesule
Under our cyanide management plan, we destroy cyanide before we deposit leach residues in a sealed tailings pond.
Employment
Social cover for every employee
We pay each employee at least the statutory minimum wage for Tanzania's mining sector and register them with the NSSF and NHIF.
Land
Closing old pits
Disused pits put people and livestock at risk, so we backfill ours and the abandoned artisanal pits on our licence area.
Operating in Tanzania
Gold is Tanzania's largest goods export, according to Bank of Tanzania figures for 2025. Our Operations page explains how the sector is licensed and how gold is sold.
