Our Strategy
Goals for a More Ethical Mining Approach
Tanzania is renowned for its vast natural resources, particularly in minerals and metals. At Huudi, our operations cover the entire value chain—from the source to the final consumer—and focus primarily on the extraction and processing of gold, copper, nickel, manganese, tantalum, cobalt, zinc, lead, and graphite.

As a key component of the energy transition, the artisanal mining sector is our top priority, and making it sustainable is our core mission. That’s why we are developing an innovative model aligned with our values: mid-scale and small-scale mines. We have no intention of becoming an industrial giant that harms the environment, nor of supporting informal, unsafe, and unregulated labor, as is too often the case in neglected artisanal mining areas. Yet these sites hold great potential—this is where our model shines: even the smallest parcels are mined responsibly, respecting both nature and human dignity.
Reimagining Small-Scale Mining: Three Goals for Sustainable Impact

Boost rural development
By improving infrastructure and leveraging local resources through targeted mining operations in remote areas.

Create sustainable jobs
By hiring and training workers from local communities.

Support the energy transition
By responsibly extracting critical metals essential to the global energy future.

Innovation, openness, and diversification: the pillars of our growth strategy
Our strategy is built on five complementary pillars combining economic performance, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability.
img
MODERNIZING FACILITIES AND ACQUIRING ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
To meet growing demand, improve working conditions, and satisfy our partners, we plan to acquire new equipment (compressors, winches, wheel loaders, etc.) and modernize our facilities (washing stations, crushers, etc.). These upgrades will increase our production capacity while optimizing mineral quality and concentration — without ever replacing local labor, which remains central to our model.
img
CREATION OF A CONCENTRATION SITE
We plan to establish a concentration site in the Dar Es Salaam region to process ore from small and medium-sized mines in Tanzania, the Congo, and Zambia.
img
EXPANSION OF MINING ACTIVITIES, EXPLORATION, AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SITES
Committed to the energy transition, our company recognizes the need to secure supplies of critical metals. We aim to expand our portfolio of mining licenses and develop new extraction and concentration sites for highly sought-after minerals: copper, manganese, nickel, graphite, cobalt, tantalum, platinum, and titanium.
img
INVESTMENT IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
As a forward-thinking company, Huudi invests in research and development to improve our extraction and concentration processes and to uncover new business opportunities. We collaborate with geologists (including BRGM), chemists, and independent laboratories (SGS, Mitra S.K.) to analyze ore and identify the most efficient processing methods.

COLLABORATION WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS
Open to the world, we strongly believe in the value of partnerships. We aim to strengthen existing alliances and build new ones. We are currently discussing a technical partnership to enhance our industrial expertise. We also maintain excellent relationships with the French Embassy in Tanzania, the Tanzanian Mining Office, and other international organizations.

PHASE 1
EXPLORATION
img
GEOLOGICAL PROSPECTING
Prospecting is carried out by our local network of experienced villagers. These true field agents identify the rock, assess site viability, and provide a first-level evaluation. A complementary analysis is then performed: if the area hasn't been studied yet, we conduct our own validation; otherwise, we rely on existing data registered with the Mining Office.
img
FEASIBILITY STUDY
Our team ensures the site is both accessible and technically viable. We then analyze the quality of the rock to determine whether it requires processing or concentration, considering this in light of the potential market price.
img
OBTAINING LICENSES
Licenses grant holders the right to mine and commercialize production. They can be leased from a villager or purchased directly through the official Mining Office portal. All our licenses are properly registered and subject to strict controls: government authorities inspect both the quality (sampling and lab tests) and quantity (weighing) of the extracted minerals.

PHASE 2
OPERATION
img
INFRASTRUCTURE SETUP
We set up various infrastructures (camp, access to water and electricity, roads, etc.) and our equipment to facilitate operations and improve living conditions for the local community where we operate.
img
ROCK EXTRACTION AND CRUSHING
For gold mines, we extract rock using electric hammers, chisels, and pickaxes, then crush it using ball mills. For other types of mines, we use excavators for extraction, along with compressors and jaw crushers for crushing.
img
MINERAL TRANSPORT
We then transport the extracted ore to the camp using small trucks or three-wheelers, depending on the type of rock.
imgimgimgimgimgimgimg
PHASE 3
PRE-CONCENTRATION
img
MECHANICAL PRE-CONCENTRATION PROCESS
For concentration, we use a shaking table. Given the density of the minerals, it is easy to separate them by gravity to remove sand, silica, and other unwanted elements.
img
ROCK DRYING
Once concentration is complete, the rock is carefully dried to avoid unnecessary water transport to processing sites, which could cause logistical and technical issues.
img
IMPROVING ORE GRADE
We tailor our concentration process to meet client needs. The first pass usually achieves a concentration of 25 to 30%. With multiple passes and table adjustments, we can reach concentrations above 50%.
img
PHASE 4
COMMERCIALIZATION
img
METAL EXPORT
The commercialization phase concludes our operational process with the export of extracted metals. We work with international refineries and trading companies carefully selected for their compliance with the highest standards of transparency, traceability, and responsibility.

OUR EXPERTISE
img
Expertise in International Trading
Thanks to our participation in international conferences and our expertise in commodity trading, we’ve built strong market exposure and trusted relationships with the world’s leading traders. We deal directly with factories in Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America to better understand demand and secure the best value for our products.
img
Diversification of Mining Activities
Our versatility is our strength. We began with gold mining, which currently accounts for half of our investments and revenue. We later diversified by opening a copper mine and obtaining licenses for manganese, nickel, tantalum, cobalt, zinc, lead, and graphite. Copper and manganese extraction now represent 30% and 20% of our investments, respectively.
img
Process Improvement
We have succeeded in concentrating copper from 17% to over 50% using a chemical-free mechanical process. Our goal is now to gradually implement additional concentration processes—both mechanical and chemical—to further improve operational efficiency.
img
License Evaluation
We currently hold over 60 mining licenses, all independently assessed by international auditors.
